Orange County Prices Jump 17% in 12 Months
By John McCloud Prices for industrial properties in California's Orange County market rose 17% in the past 12 months, according to Jerry Holdner, vice president of market research for Anaheim, CA-based Voit Commercial Brokerage. The biggest difference between this year and last, says Holdner, is not pricing but inventory. "Everything's been gobbled up," he adds.

Westcore Reducing Industrial Holdings
By John McCloud At the same time Westcore Properties LLC is making its entry in Europe, it is making dramatic moves at home. In response to sudden changes at a major Mideast backer, the San Diego-based real estate investment firm is prematurely disposing of a 1.6 million-sf Northern California high-tech portfolio it acquired in the past two years. Also, a joint venture it recently formed with a new capital partner will focus less on industrial product and more on office and retail.
