NYC HDC Depletes Funds After Financing 2,285 Units
By Sule Aygoren Carranza The New York City Housing Development Corp. has tapped out its coffers with a $320-million financing package awarded to 36 buildings throughout the city. The funds will help build or preserve 2,285 affordable housing units.

Data Points: Starts, Permits Remain Choppy
After a 7.1% decline in March and a 4.4% uptick in April, multifamily starts rose 2.8% in May to 271,000 units on a seasonally adjusted basis. The 12-month rolling average, notes Bank of America, suggests a declining trend.
