Could the 1031 exchange be eliminated someday? As hard as it is to imagine, it's indeed possible that 1031s could disappear, according to a spirited discussion among NET LEASE forum's editorial advisory board during its annual breakfast meeting prior to the May 3 RealShare Net Lease conference in New York City.
