Ray Wicken is managing director of the Charlotte, NC-based Mountain Funding LLC, which specializes in bridge loans, joint venture equity, mezzanine debt, high leverage first mortgages, participating debt, and hard money loans. Depending on the capital structure, Mountain Funding aims for returns of 7% to 15%, and sometimes an exit fee or profit participation. Mountain Funding invests equity or makes mezzanine loans from $2 million to $30 million and high-leverage first mortgages and participating debt ranging from $5 million to $100 million.
