Sunrise Shareholders Green Light Ventas Buyout

Deal Watch: JPI Makes $222M Play With Three Boston Assets
By Sule Aygoren Carranza Luxury apartment firm JPI added 1,601 units to its apartment portfolio through the $222-million purchase of a trio of properties in a suburb of Boston. The communities, Edgewater Hills, Edgewater Terrace and Edgewater Village, were sold by Capital Properties, according to Real Capital Analytics.

Data Points: Starts, Permits Fall Once Again
By Sule Aygoren Carranza Whether it was due to credit restraint on the part of developers or the increasingly difficult construction environment, starts for multifamily projects fell by 6.8% between February and March to 262,000 units. That follows a month-over-month decrease of 9.3% in February and a 24.2% January decline.
